I've got all of Stephen Kings books and most of the films... But Misery is by far the best, The Shining a very close Second... Somehow the films manage to translate alot from the books that other films (from books) can't.
Stephen King is a true master but that doesn't change the fact he's a weird looking fella lol

TOP TEN
1)The Shining (I love it.)
2)Carrie (More stars and scares than you'd remember)
3)Misery (Just really good.)
4)Stand By Me (based on his novella The Body)
5)Dolores Claiborne (Kathy Bates should've gotten a 2nd nom.)
6)Shawshank Redemption (Don't cry, I dare you.)
7)Cujo (no, really! It's Danny Pintauro in a Pinto!)
8) The Stand (epic story)
9) Christine (Keith Gordon's last great hurrah)
10)Cats Eye (for the James Wood piece alone.)

IT was quite scarey actually, as was the book!! but I think the book of Misery was scarier than the film, I like Salem's Lot too, and the one with Jimmy Smits and Marg thingymibob from CSI in it, the Tommyknockers, is that a steven king movie?

Carrie without a shadow of a doubt, and its the only one where the film is much better than the book. It has the best climax of any film I've ever seen, its brilliant!

Not having seen Shawshank Redemption, I can only vote for those films I've actually seen. I really enjoyed George C Scott in Firestarter... what a villain!
