HIM!

If the state trooper was there, he had to file a report. That report will indicate that the other driver was 100% at fault, and his insurance company will have to cover it.

Get a report from the State Trooper and send it to the insurance company. You are not responsible. Tell the insurance company your side of the story and if they keep insisting, you'll make them pay for your damage.

He should be paying not you but my advice is to contact a lawyer. Some lawyers have their 1st consultation for no fee. Also get a copy of the police report and talk to your insurance company. Your insurance company has lawyers as well and of course it would depend on your coverages as to what is or is not covered

If someone is sited in an accident, then that person has to pay. If no one received a ticket then each person pays for their own damages. If you have any information on the officer that took the report I would try to contact him. It sounds like this clown that was involved with you is trying to get you to pay for every scratch and dent and ding on his car and you shouldn't have to.
You may want to contact an attorney and get some legal advice because he may try to sue you if he is trying to get you to pay for damages to his car that have nothing to do with you.

No tickets issued and no witnesses? Let the insurance companies deal with it. I would'nt call it a squeeze play either, that makes it sound like you each knew the other was there yet neither yeilded...not good.
