Some great answers so far, I'm going to leave it on 'til 2nite to see if there are any more ideas.
Oh, and by the way, I did say world and not universe, and approximately two thirds of the earth's "surface" is covered with water, not two thirds of the earth.

I go for grey on the grounds that water (when clean, which it isn't always) reflects the colour of the sky, so it isn't always blue. I've seen the sea here all shades of the rainbow depending on the pollution and the weather (even red = pollution).
If you say green due to plant life, remember the earth is predominantly brown, and so are the trunks and branches of trees, many of which are deciduous. Also consider the seasons: some leaves have a variety of colours ranging from almost yellow in spring, through green, orange and brown during autumn.
Sadly, mainly due to the influence of man, I think an amalgamation of all colours on this planet produces grey

Two thirds of the Earths surface is covered with water (the oceans) they look blue in photo's from space, so that's what I'll go with.

I'm not sure, If you meant the UNIVERSE I would say black, because it is mostly empty space. If in the world, well, blue because the sky appears blue and 2/3 of the earth is water.

Grey. Look at the buildings. Look at the uninspiring car colour choice (most cars I see are silver, which translates to grey with a layer of dirt added). Look at the suits of the city folk - I got stared at while wearing a red suit in London once! Look at the clouds. Look at the smoke. I don't want to bring you on a downer but it's a fact :-)

yep its blue, sky, sea, jeans even the questions posted on answers are in blue, the background to ur pic is blue so yep i agree it's blue!!!!!

the atmosphere contains water, which has a faint blue colour, so everything we see has a faint hint of blue in it...
its also my favourite colour
