yahoo mail be forwarded to an outlook email address not into the outlook 2003 software on the pc

Yes. Yahoo Mail forwards your Yahoo! web emails to any SMTP server you specify. Yahoo! POP3 access is no longer free and they charge annually. Yahoo Mail reads Yahoo! emails through their web access and forwards them to specified SMTP server.
It is safe to use Yahoo Mail, because it does not delete or tamper or malfunction your Yahoo! emails. It simply reads and forwards them. Your emails are safe in Yahoo! email account and can be deleted by you using Yahoo! web access.

Go to TOOLS
Email Accounts
Add account
incoming pop.yahoo.com
outgoing smtp.YOUR SERVER. net or com
It works for me.. I have regular accounts.
