This exceptional actor was always one of my favorites. I loved
all of his movies especially Doctor Zhivago, Bridge on the River Kwai and Star Wars just to name a few. He ranks up there with
Sir Laurence Olivier, Rex Harrison , Anthony Hopkins and Omar
Shariff as the most wonderful , brillant and gifted actors of all
time.

He was a great English actor (among many) who was granted knighthood by the queen for his contribution to the arts. Anyone born within the past 30 years may not have heard of him.

I highly doubt it. I also know & being knighted tells me that his country also acknowledges just whom he was. His acting ability was extraordinary, & not solely limited to Star Wars, though he will always be remembered for that part.
