I'm talking about marching band for those who don't know :)

It probably depends on the band director, but my guess is that you can if you also play an intstrument. Otherwise, the best you can hope for is color guard captain (which is none too shabby either).

Hey, At my school a guard member can be drum major unless they are the guard captain. This is because the two jobs would interfere with the each other.

Yes if they have the musical ability and play an instrument during concert season. If not then no. Unless you just have a very small crappy band.

Anyone with marching experience can. It depends on your school as far as rules. Such as what grade you're in and everything. At my school, you can try out spring of your freshman year until your junior year.
