I would likely break their finger. After this I would punch them in the chest.
Following this I would dare them to call the police, inform them that not only would I claim that it was an act of self-defense but would respond by pressing assault charges.
I don't get mad, I don't get even- I get one up. I would make sure the other person was aware of this and perhaps that knowledge would provide an incentive to simply leave me alone.

That all depends on who was doing the poking! ...and why!!
If it was a parent and I was living in their home on their money, I'd shape up for sure! If it was a teacher and I was the student, I'd shape up. If it was a police officer I'd shape up.
If it was a b/f, fiancee, or spouse, I'd ship out!
