When we say venomous it means it got an animal poison called venom or zootoxin, snakes being the famous example. Venom is a toxin used by several animal species as a defense and for prey-hunting purposes.

Though subjective, the definition of a venom differs from a poison. Generally, a venom is defined as a biologic toxin that is injected to cause its effect while a poison is a biologic toxin which is absorbed through epithelial linings (either of the gut or through the skin).

Venom, on the different hand, is continually injected. each venomous animal has a mechanism to inject pollution instantly into yet another animal. Stab with tails. cut back with spines. Pierce with fangs. Spike with spurs. Shoot with harpoons. bite with teeth. case in factor, frogs are frequently poisonous at the same time as snakes are frequently venomous.

poisonous technically includes venomous but if your looking for a difference try looking at frogs vs. snakes. Their are poisonous frogs that can kill you if you touch or eat them but a snake must bite you to inject it s venom. Hope this is helpful.
