Breastfeeding is not a sure fire way to prevent pregnancy. I would go ahead and take a home test then it it's neg. wait a week or so and take agian. If you still feel like you are pregnant Than visit your OB Staying on birthcontrol can cause problem with a pregnancy depending on your dose.
I am sorry you are having to worry your way through this right now. If you are really concerned Don't torture yourself and go to the Ob or a clinic and get a blood test to check. You could be experiencing a bit of post partum depression and excessive worry will make it worse. take care of yourself.

Even though breastfeeding may be protectivr against becoming pregnant
(increases prolactin levels which may interfere with the implantation of a fertilized egg), it is not 100% (that's why OB's also recommend birth control)
- my wife was an "Irish twin" (she and her sister were born 10 months apart ans her mom breast fed). I would take a presgnancy test and go back to your obstetrician, Good luck.
( were you on the Pill - and told not to start it until 2 weeks?)

Yea you could be...just because you're breatfeeding doesnt mean you can't get pregnant. I think that's just and old wives tale. Call the dr and ask them if they can do some blood work if you're worried about it. Or take the test now and if it's negative retest in a couple of weeks. Good luck

I know that when you breastfeed it intrupts your mens cycle causing you not to have one. As far as you being pregnant again it is very possible because you are still pretty fertile after giving birth I think. Your mood could be a case of the baby blues.. I would wait a little longer then speak to your ob/gyn about it. Good Luck.. :)

You are your most fertile shortly after giving birth or having an abortion. Just because you are breast feeding, means nothing. You could be reacting from the birth and having the begining affect of post pardoem symdrom. Take a test it will put your mind at ease.

It is s common misconception that you can not get pregnant while breast feeding.
You definitely could be pregnant, the best thing is to get to the doctor. You didn't say what kind of bc the doc gave you, but you should get tested before you do anyting that can harm the baby.
