Ah, the Washington Capitals. The perennial underdogs are not going far this year. 65 or so in the points standings, just like last year. Alex Ovechkin is the most amazing thing on two skates, but hockey is not an individual sport. The addition of Alexander Semin will give the team a boost, but there is an issue of consistancy that has shadowed the team for years.

We were going to beat Tampa Bay in the pre-season, but we scored against ourselves and threw the game away. Its going to be another long season. Still, we love our Caps!

Judging from the Flyers' season opening 4-0 drubbing at Pittsburgh, I think they may be lucky if they even finish the regular season as 8th seed in the East.

On the other hand, I also have a feeling that the Penguins could go really far. Like second or third seed in the East far.

I believe my team the New Jersey Devils will go very deep this season with the re-signing of Elias and gionta.

On paper the Anaheim Ducks (hate the way that sounds) look very good and most "insiders" and fans have predicted they'll go far... I think they'll either be as good as advertised or tank.

Same old Flyers.......probably 3rd place in the division, and maybe the 7th or 8th seed. If they lose the next game, I'm putting my Eagles icon back up.

Pittsburgh Penguins in or near the playoffs would be a great stride for us

Sabres will do as good as last season, even if Dumont, and McKee are gone, but Briere, and Drury will be great.

Wings will not do so great in the regular but will make the playoffs and stand in 7th or 8th place in the conference. But they will reach the western conference finals.

GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
