If you have already been talked to/diciplined at woirk over this issue, one way would be to look in your company's resources and see if they have any anger management/stress management classes/courses. You would be surprised how many corporations do have access to these types of services.
Another would be to talk to your family doctor about anger management, or even look into your community for courses on such. Many area mental health facilities have courses for this at little to no cost. ( sliding scale)
You can go some other methods as well, such as biofeedback, excercise, meditation, tension ball, etc.
I have found that stopping every time you are about to yell, and counting to at least 60, then questioning yourself helps. You can walk/look aorund while counting... then ask yourself wether the situation will be negatively affected by the problem/mistake a few weeks from now, months from now, years from now. If the mistake has no longer term affects other than inconvenience, chalk it up to a minor snaffoo in your mind, not worth the time or the energy to explode about. Your time will be better spent to quickly remedy the problem, and go on about your day.
You are fortunate that you recognize you have a temper problem. Many people deny that they do, until they have lost jobs, relationships, etc. and then its much harder to try to fix the damage. This type of short tempered behavior is actually bad for your health, and of course, bad for your career and social life as well, so it is really in your best interest to address it thoroughly. If it were me, I would recognize that it is in my control, that I can conquer it, and would make it a goal every day to try to, and seek some professional help to make sure I ended the problem and got on with my life in the most positive way I could. Good luck.

For the 2003 film, see Anger Management.
The term anger management commonly refers to a system of psychological therapeutic techniques and exercises by which one with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce the triggers, degrees, and effects of an angered emotional state.
Healthy adults need to be able to hint, to use or to pretend "anger": either management or mismanagement (or both), as is appropriate. Competent teachers, law-enforcement and other authority figures are especially skilled in anger management. Courses in anger management are sometimes mandated by a legal system. Courts typically requires 8 to 12 hours of classes for most offenders. There are currently no national or state standards. Therefore, some people may not receive the help that is required of them.
Typical anger management "techniques" are the use of deep breathing and meditation as a mean to relaxation. As the issue of anger varies from person to person, the treatments are designed to be personal to the individual.

Your astrological sign has nothing to do with your temper. I know Libra's that are calmer than I am.
When you get upset count to ten. With each number take a deep calming breath and take your focus off of the problem.
If you need to, take a break or approach the associate later in the day.

If you fairly desire to difference you must be in charge to your possess feelings. It's effortless to mention 'good i simply have a nasty mood' however that simply finally ends up rationalizing the habits in order that subconsciously you excuse your self for behaving in that style. When you discover your self flying off the manage over some thing, take a moment and examine the obstacle. You must gain knowledge of to place a small lengthen among parties and your emotionally response to them. This will NOT be effortless, however if you happen to maintain attempting ultimately you'll grasp your feelings. Remember there are occasions whilst anger is flawlessly applicable, nevertheless it will have to continually be in percentage to how critical it's. There are, of path, medical occasions which might make this so much tougher. Things like hormonal or chemical imbalance, mental problems and so forth. If you discover that it is unattainable to get a grip to your anger it can be high-quality to touch a therapist to have anyone to talk with. I would not suggest taking anti-depressants or anti-psychotics if you'll support it despite the fact that. More and extra stories are popping out displaying that longer term utilization of anti-depressants purpose harm to longer term mind chemical and hormonal stages. Good Luck!

Sounds like you are a very emotional reactor and then once you vent you can cool off. I am the same way and about the only way to control it is practice. You need to literally count to ten or maybe even twenty before saying something inappropriate.
Good luck.
