if you were to point the question directly upon me, I would say that the best sounding instruments are those of whom contain strings. I really enjoy the soundings of guitars or violins. However, flutes are beautiful as well.

i like the sound of an electric guitar. make that a lead guitar, a rythm guitar, a bass, drums, a lead singer... and voila! you have the best sound that 5 people can make.
