Yes, but don't combine a Halloween party and a birthday party. Kids hate it when you eliminate a party just to make things easier.

Absolutely. Most towns go trick or treating the weekend after Halloween, if the day doesn't fall on the weekend.

My son was born on 10/30. I always stayed away from Halloween themes, and wanted him to have just a regular Happy Birthday party. Now, he's in his teens, and actually likes to have a Halloween party.

I say do what ever you feel like doing. I saw you said his fathers side of the family likes to celebrate on the day of the actual b-day if that is okay with you I say go for it but remember his family isn't raising him you and your husband are if it's more convant for you to do it before or the weekend after his actual b-day then do that. Congrates and have fun... My son was actually born on Thanksgiving Day November 27, 2003... So when he gets older I was thinking of dueing a Turkey theme party.

I have a relative born on Halloween. Your child has a built-in theme for the party, and Halloween and costumes are so much fun. What could be an easier party? If the child is very young, maybe try not to get 'too scary'....but for older kids...they'd love it.

You have this listed under newborn and baby... depends on his age. I don't think that it would be any issues... just let people know that it's a 'kids' halloween, not an adult theme. Also, if your son is really young (under 2 or 3) the party is for you anyway... he won't remember it and will have fun with anything around him that is strange and colorful!

November 1 is the day of the Dead in Mexico, so a halloween theme would be appropriate. If you could reasearch the day of the Dead, that would make a unique birthday party

That would be awsome. And ignore answers from people like Buff. So what if it's originally a Pagan holiday? People need to get a life. Christmas isn't really Jesus's birthday, but you probably don't see Buff complaining about that one. Children love dressing up and they love candy, so f**k off all Buffs of the world and have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN,,,, and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Like totally dude. LOL. Nah I'm just joking. Umm yes that would be a good theme. But I hope your not planning on having a halloween party, or making him go to one.

I believe that since it is so close to Halloween, why not? It would be especially appropriate if there will be a ton of wild little kids going. They love dress-up. Otherwise, just about any theme relating to fall will do.
