There are chemicals in these flowers that can be toxic to insects but not to cats. I wouldn't worry about the cat--I've never heard of one being attracted to mums in 9 yrs as L&G Master Tech.

Please remember that there is a difference between something being toxic and it being poisonous. Most plants are probably toxic, meaning if you eat too much it will make you sick but not kill you, whether it is eaten by an animal or a human.
I do not think crysanthymums are poisonius. Just keep it on a table or ledge that kitty doesn't get on.

Well not sure if they are toxic but just keep it in a room where your cat's can't get to it.

if you put something like chicken wire all arround it in a circle like a few feet high cause the cats seem to think when your to lazy to be on top of the krap bucket all the time they go in the plants
