Ideally, no. Goldfish food is a different formula than tropical food. Certain nutrients that your tropical fish need will be lacking.

It's ok to feed them the goldfish food temporarily, but you will eventually need to get them food for their own type.

Tropical fish are usually carnivores, they prefer meat. Goldfish are omnivores, they eat both meat and plants.

You shouldn't feed tropical fish food that is meant for goldfish because the tropicals need protien, and goldfish food does not have enough protien in it.

goldfish are vegetarian and tropical fish are omnivorous. You can feed your tropical fish goldfish food as part of a varied diet. add some good quality frozen food to their diet (blood worms are the best) and you should have some happy and healthy tropical fish.

first element you do is take a sparkling sponge and sparkling the tank out (such as clear out and decor) thoroughly with very heat water. attempt and allow it air dry or use papertowels that do no longer bypass away too plenty fuzz in the back of. Take your aquarium gravel and placed it in a pot and placed across it too a easy boil for about 5 minutes to bathe it up (goldfish are grimy fish, for that reason the gravel is frequently harboring micro organism that tropical fish does no longer be familiar with). Then rinse the gravel and placed each little thing sparkling returned into the tank. Fill it up with heat water and turn on the filtration equipment. i take advantage of NOVAQUA and AMQUEL to prep my water for fish... they artwork ok jointly. They make the water right now waiting for fish yet permit the tank sit down for an afternoon or so until all of the air bubbles dislodge and the water is obvious. once you get the fish, permit the bag they are in flow on your tank for about an hour so as that they journey temps. Then open the undesirable and placed approximately 2-3 cups of your tanks water in with their water and allow it flow for yet another a million/2 hour or so. whilst they aclimate, then you definately could have the flexibility to launch them with out situation. i've got in no way misplaced a fish this way! be useful that the various water the fish are in get into your tank. this would assure that useful micro organism starts growing to be on your tank.
