Open Water was out about a year ago more recently there was Adrift which was about folks on a boat going for a swim and forgetting to put the ladder down.

Open water is about 2 people, a guy and a girl who get left in teh ocean when there scuba diving boat leaves thinking they are on board.
Its a chilling movie, coz it could easily happen to any one.
There are some other movies about water and getting stranded, but im pretty sure this would be the one.

A movie of pure speculation based on a true story about 2 divers left behind in shark infested waters by their tour boat guide.
A different kind of "thriller" which I really enjoyed. It's a movie that makes you think ... "I wonder what I would do if I were in that situation ...?
Footnote: This movie was filmed on the director's weekends off, as he had a "Nine to Fiver" job elsewhere during the week.

As you now know it's "Open Water" I watched it after reading reviews that it had really dramatic cinematography. It doesn't! The best line in the film is spoken by the wife after a long time in the water: "I wanted to go skiing". Not that helpful after 24 hours plus stuck in the water with no method of getting home.

Open Water... I wasn't very impressed... the sharks attacking them were only small... Scary i suppose if you are left in the ocean but the ending was pretty boring too... Put simply i wouldn't recommend watching it... You'll be disappointed.

I think you're talking about Open Water and that movie isn't the greatest movie, I thought it was pretty dumb, I fell asleep near the ending.
