what kind of jobs would you need to know algebra in and what would they use algebra for?

If you are thinking of any careers in the I.T. fields, you will need it. It is also basic for any jobs involving science or engineering and will generally help you in any situation involving deductive reasoning and problem solving whether it is mathematical or not.

You may not realize it but algebra is used on a daily basis.

For a very simplified example, let's say you were hired to manage a budget of $1000. If you spend $200 on one project and $200 on another project, how much money do you have left over for 2 remaining projects? Easy stuff but algebra nonetheless.
