Because they realize that collecting less taxes allows their citizens to prosper better. All they collect are property taxes. The federal government could learn a lot from NH

Because they tax to death people who live their with property taxes and some user tax/fees. Its actually very unfair how they tax and a large number of people working in MA live in NH in rent apartments just so they don't have to pay MA state income tax and since they rent they don't pay NH property taxes.

its is true and the reason is property owners and the state liqueur store make up the difference.

maybe they have a good source of revenue that allows them to go tax free
