Duh...what language do you think the students are going to be speaking?
You might not need it in some classes, but how are you going to look for a place to stay, go shopping, and deal with everyday life if you don't speak the language. Think hard before you go/

It`ll be help full but no you don`t need to be fluent as lots of (especially young) people speak English now.
