My spouse and I have been married 23 years, and we've had an open marriage the entire time. We're happy and plan to remain partners for life. We also plan to continue being sexually non-monogamous for life. I would like to hear about any others in happy and long-lasting (15+ years) open marriages.

Do you have children? What do they think of this? I'm sorry, I just can't get my head around the whole concept...it's really just making me dizzy.

i was in a semi happy OPEN marriage 8 years we were swingers we went to clubs we even saw people separately AS LONG AS the other knew. The problem he still found it necessary to cheat meaning he went and dated started a relationship BEHIND MY BACK with a women i knew NOTHING OF. Swinging is not cheating it's done with consent the difference was he was planning a future with this other women he had been sleeping with for 6 months i knew nothing about it till i found a note he wrote to her. ANYHOW YES I AM still in favor of open relationships. I am re married we go to swing clubs we watch and hang out we agreed at the start we won't be sexual with anyone else "at this time" it could change". I don't think open relationships kill a good marriage i know many people married several years who swing. MANY MORE PEOPLE DON'T APROVE OF THIS then those who do.
