I really like reading susupese/thriller/crime novels. Some of my favs are Dean Koontz, JD Robb aka Nora Roberts (I don't read the romance stuff, much. I did really like the Key Trilogy though), Alex Kava, Kay Hooper, Erica Spindler...you get the idea. Who else might I like. I live a small town so I try to stock up with I go to the city.

My absoulute favorite author is Mercedes Lackey, she does urban fantasy, historical fantasy and general fantasy but its really good! Its not your typical fairy queen/elf crap even though she has elves in some of them.

A good intro book would be Fairy Godmother,

Here is a link to her website if you want to know more.

If you like humor with your mystery, try reading the the Stephanie Plum series of books by Janet Evanovich -- One for the Money, Two for the Dough, etc. I think there are now 12 books in this series.

The character of Stephanie Plumb is a former lingerie buyer, living in Trenton, New Jersey, who loses her job and goes to work for her cousin as a bounty hunter! She meets all kinds of interesting characters, gets into all kinds of predicaments, gets a reputation for having her cars blown up, yet always manages to get her prey or find the real culprit! Lots of fun.

Linda Howard has a lot of good thriller novels. Try the book "Dream Man" (not romance).

Dan Brown, The Divinci Code. Very suspenseful, interesting, I learned a few historical facts as well. Remember when reading this, that is it just a theory.
