Unprotected sex is never a good idea. A guys sperm can stay alive for 5 days, and if you pop out an egg you could get pregnant and the risk is even worse for an ectopic pregnancy, which means that they would have to abort it and remove your tube, reducing the chance for you to have kids later on. If you have unprotected sex make sure you are on birth control. That keeps you from making eggs.

It is not a good idea to have unprotected sex at any time unless you are trying for a baby or are sure about the other person's sexual history. Your period will not protect you from anything, give it a rest those days, that's what nature intended them for.

It's never good to have unprotected sex unless you've both been tested and you are both now monogamous.
From the wording of your question I'm guessing you a bit on the young side....I would suggest always using a condom.

There is no problem having sex during your period if both partners are comfortable with it and are o.k with the fact that it may be messy.
Although you can still get pregnant during your period, so unless you want kids, keep using protection.

I don't beleive you can get pregnant while bleeding,
but, you are not protected from disease at anytime without a condom.

its not going to prevent pregnancy i can tell ya that. you can still also get AIDS, herpes and all that nasty stuff. just dont have sex.
