Mommy it means that your baby is getting big and there is no more room for it to grow. You will deliver soon and the back pain will go away. AND your hands and feet swelling will go down.

I'd say it's just the weight of the baby pushing on your back when you stand, maybe your baby has dropped recently. If the pain doesn't go away when you're sitting, then you may be in labor. If the pain comes and goes, then start timing how far apart the pains are...if they are a few minutes apart get yourself to the hospital asap. Good luck with all!

Try getting on the floor on your hands and knees. This will take a little pressure off of your back. You can also get in that position during labor. I wish you the best of luck! Nothing is more precious than a baby!

well only a few days to go, congrats, it could be the baby sitting in the wrong spot, (back labor) or they could be early contractions maybe, some people get contractions in their back and some in the front, and some all round, every pregnancy is different, (your water doesn't need to break to get contractions, its just an early sign), good luck, and try to stay relaxed it wont hurt as much...

You might end up having back labor, and I won't lie, it sucks. When the baby is born her face is supposed to be facing your spine, but in some cases the back of her head is towards your spine as she moves down the birth canal. This causes back labor. This might be happening to you. I know they kept telling me to walk when I started labor and that was totally crazy to me, I could barely stand. I wasn't sure I would want an epidural, but back labor convinced me, it was such sweet relief when I got my epi, I wanted to kiss the anesthesiologist who gave it to me! Good Luck on the upcoming birth and congratulations!

It's just the extra weight and the baby has probably dropped. You have to stand funny in order to counter balance the little person and it can be murder on the back. It's alright. It's almost over.

They might be contractions. I would call the doctor and see what they say. How often is the feeling of un-ability to walk? Start timing that feeling and call the doctor. It might be the onset of labor.
