Olive oil (or any kind of oils) eventually clogs your pores and makes matters worse. Because your skin is dry, it contains many dead cells that give a feeling of coarseness. These dead cells also clog your pores and will cause premature aging. There are three things that you need to do to make your skin smooth:
1. Microdermabrasion
2. Cleanser
3. Moisturiser
You need to get the microdermabrasion first to remove the dead cell layer of your skin. Try to get it at least twice a year.
It is better to purchase the cleanser and moisturizer at the same place where you will get your microdermabrasion. They must be professional products (not over-the-counter ones). Also you can try "Soy Face Cleanser Make-up Remover" by Fresh (can be bought in Sephora) and "HydrAction" Deep Hydration Rich Creame by Dior. They are expensive, but they will work, and save you much more money in the long run.

You should try some organic lotion that consist of natural ingrediants. Your face may be screaming for help because of all the home remedies you have been trying. You need to get on a good skin care program to combat the dry skin. It may include store bought cosmetics but these companies do lots of research to insure that it is the right thing for your skin. You should give at least one a try.

Actually, they are both correct.
Water is good. Drink about 6 to 8 glasses a day.
Also, ask a guy ____ on you face, if you rub it in, it has been shown to be one of the best treatments for creating smooth skin.
If you are under 18 then I guess you have to wait until you are 18 to have really smooth skin.

exfoliate your skin daily. if your skin still feels dry, make an appoitment with a dermatolygst (excuse the spelling). They will know about your skin type, and what the best, natural treatments are for it. Good luck!

Drink lots of water & keep your face clean; do not go to sleep without washing your face... Use coco butter soap & a buff puff to scrub your face morning & night... keep baby wipes near your bed for those nights you just fall out, so you can at least get the makeup/sweat/daily pollutants OFF your pretty, precious face!

well, i tested a couple things out. you should exfoliate if it feels coarse, you can use a body loofah in the shower and then use st ive's apricot shower cleanser/mask it works really good and is pretty cheap. honey also makes it feel soft. if your taking a bath just put warmwater on your face, then put on the honey leave it on for a few minutes then wash it off.

To get rid of the coarseness, use a facial scrub once or twice a week. To keep it soft and moist, apply moisturizing lotion.
