What is it?? It is green w/ long spikey sharp green leaves...like the top of a pinaple..BUT heres the part that makes it hard to identify...i grew some funky looking green pods...and when the died...they opened and black seeds were in them..help??

sounds like a yucca plant to me...they come in different sizes and shapes and colors

they are harmless unless you poke your self on it...they make soap out of it

Sounds like a yucca to me as well.
But I am curious why it is freaking you out? Did it just land in your yard out of nowhere? Is it scaring the children?
Please remain calm - it's just a plant.....

i don't know what it's called, but i think i know what you mean.
if i'm correct, it comes back each year in multiples. the leaves get kind of a grey color on the outside edges. (or like a different texture/color) is this the one?
i think it repels mosquitoes and other nasty/biting insects. that's what it's known for.
