Texas A&M probably has the best Vet Program in the country, but its hard to get into. Tarlton University, which is an extention of A&M and located in Stephenville, TX, has serveral good programs. You could get a degree in Animal Sciences, Wildlife Management, Animal Husbandry, or Pre-Vet. It would be easier to get into A&M, you would just put it a transfer.

# 1 you are in the wrong state..... Vet you can make it .... I am in AZ. Farrier can make more money check out your options...... I am a transplant from IL to Tex to AZ Best state in the union ( really ) Little more Exp. but the people are all good I love it and there is money to be made I have 16 horses and vet bill is less than Farrier ..... Good luck

Go to www.colleges.com. You can narrow your college search by major, location, tuition, etc.
I also hear that the University of California, Davis has an EXCELLENT veterinarian school. Many veterinarians down here in southern California are graduates of UC Davis.
