The one page word document would be about a quarter page of a hardback book. That is if you are using double spacing. If you don't use double spacing then it would be a half a page in a hard back book.

What you can do is count words on a page in a normal hardback book and then type up a one page word doc and use the tool for calculating how many words on are the page. This will give you a good idea of what you are trying to determine here.

The font, text size and spacing all matters in regards to how much one page of a word document will contribute towards one page in a hardback book. Remember, hardback books also come in different text sizing and paragraph style, which will determine how many words are included on a normal sized page.

However, you can get an idea of how much will fit onto one page by doing the above recommendations. Good luck in writing your book if that is what you are wishing to do.
