Make sure your doors and windows are securely locked. Always lock your car. If it's legal to carry pepper spray, do it! Take a self defense course. Never open your door to a stranger. Have 911 on speed dial. If you don't have a cell phone, get one. A robber can cut a land line, but not a cell phone. Stay calm if you have to call 911. Call your police department [not 911, call their business line] and ask them what precautions to take and any other tips they might have. God bless!

Lock doors, leave lights on, add motion-detection lights to your house, have a dog - preferably one that barks, don't leave valuables laying about. Have a phone available where you sleep at night so you can call 911, get an alarm system, or even just put alarm system stickers on your windows - a petty burglar isn't going to mess with an alarm. and most petty burglars DO NOT mess with dogs. I have 4, and no one will ever bust into my house!!

I don't know where you live (country) BUT if anyone tries to rob you or your property, make sure they feel great pain. Because that is the only thing these Bastards understand.
If you try to talk to them, they will laugh at you.
If you threaten them, they will laugh at you.
If you give them pain,They will not be happy.
GIVE THEM PAIN.
