I come from Bath but had a house in Hanham. Bristol is not that bad on the whole, there are plenty of worse places in the UK, but I'm happy living in West Yorkshire!

Besides the City of Bristol in England, there are 30 other localities with the name of Bristol in the United States and Canada. http://www.apol.net/dightonrock/firs_queen_of_bristol.htm
so it's hard to know where you really live. The 3 Bristols I know...Bristol, Rhode Island; Bristol, Conn.; and Bristol, Tenn are fun. Hopefully yours is too!

from what ive seen its a great place, however ive only been around the floating harbour (near the industrial museum) and walked up past the bristol city museum and art gallery, and across the clifton suspension bridge.
