Ok, cure is the wrong word. As all the people above have said, being gay is not a disease. And in many cases no, you are born gay or with the inclination of becoming gay and that is just who you are. Other aspects are environmental/chemical. There have been some suggestions that female homosexual tendencies are due to an influx of androgens (a chemical) during a specific time in the prenatal growth period. This is just a theory and I am in no way presenting it as fact. But if that were true, then maybe homosexuality in these cases would be preventable. I would say in most cases, however, it is not preventable.

If you are worried about being gay yourself and not knowing how to deal with it, then please see a counsellor. If you know someone who is gay and you are concerned about it, remember that it is important that you judge people based on their character and not their sexual preferences.

There is nothing that will cure people from trying to prevent others from admitting they are gay, other than stiffer anti-discrimination legislation.

Your question, as worded, is very confusing. I think you may actually be trying to cure homosexuality, instead of homosexuality-prevention.

Curing and preventing are two different things.

Question: is this for yourself or someone else? Because if it's for yourself, then you obviously do not want to be gay. Find the most compassionate of your female friends and talk it over with her.

If it's for someone else, my advice is to forget it. People mostly do not appreciate someone trying to change their sexual orientation.

Being gay is not a disease! It is also nothing to be ashamed off. Being closeminded is what we need to find a cure for!
