I pour my own stepping stones and lately I am having trouble with air bubbles, I have tried shaking the mold, taping the table the mold is on, nothing seems to help. I recently tried to use Vasline to help the stones from sticking to the mold, that works great but that is also when my air bubble problem started, is there anyone who can help give suggestions on how to fix the air bubble problem, or suggest other products to try as a relase agent for the molds?

buy you some cheapest motor oil you can find . weight does not mattrer then get you a used paint brush . pour the oil in an open pan . paint the entire form inside with the oil . as for the bubbles use a hammer to tap the side s of the form if the form are wood . this will expall most or all of the bubbles. if you are using metal forms it depend on thickness of the metal as to using the hammer .you can also pick up one corner of the form and let it drop a few time s to get rid of bubbles. bubble s is air in the cement trying to escape

Try spraying the mold first with pam (or something similar). You want a very light coat of lubricant. You also have to make sure that the mold is very clean - all the old cement has to be removed or it will stick. If you cannot gently lift and drop the mold as it would not be strong enough, after pouring the cement use a stick and swirl around a few times to break up the air bubbles. try not to hit the bottom or sides as that will remove the lubricant.
