No, it's not scary at all.
It's a huge rush . . . I like to get a window seat . . .the best part is the take off . . one moment you're on the ground, the next, you're looking down on buildings that you've never seen from the top before.
Once you get to altitude, its kind of boring, so an inflight movie is nice.

No, it is not really scary to fly on a plane. If you remember that a much higher number of people die in car accidents than on a plane it should help out your anxiety. Just remember that hundreds of thousands die each year in car accidents with only a few hundred in plane wrecks. You see, each plane crash is sensationalized, while most car accidents go unreported on the national news. So, we see each plane wreck but only a small portion of car accidents.
You are far safer in the air on a plane than on the ground in a car. How afraid are you to drive or be a passenger in a car? Probably not very scared at all, right? If you are not scared of a vehicle responsible for the highest number of deaths why be so worked up over a little plane ride? Honestly, you are far safer in a plane than in a car.
So, enjoy your trip and have a good time on the plane. I love flying, I only get a tad bit nervous during landing, which is totally silly of me as I know I am very safe. I really like going on planes and have been on about a dozen plane trips. I far prefer the ones which I don't have to make a transfer though. Not because I am worried, just because I don't like having to wait for the next plane and I think of the time wasted when I could be in the air and arriving so much sooner than sitting and waiting for the connecting flight.

It can be a little scary your first times flying. Nothing too terrifying though. Taking off will feel strange - you'll feel a little pushed back in your seat. Just relax and take a few deep breaths. While you are in the air the plane bounces around some. It's nothing to be alarmed about - turbulance is normal. Just try to relax and take a book or something to keep your mind off of the flying part. Your flight shouldn't be too long - only 4 hours or so. Thinking about it might be scary, but once you get up in the air you'll see that it isn't all that bad. Good luck. :)

I have to say flying scares the shiit out of me. What some ppl dont realize is that one thing can go wrong and ur 99.9% gonna die if the plane starts to go down. Another thing is that they say u have a better chance of getting into a car crash then when flying. Ok if u do get into a car crash u most likely not gonna die. It also sucks flying because when ur taking off to reach altitude it feels like the plane is just gonna drop out of the sky. But thats me i really hate flying, to be at 30,000 ft is tottaly unneccesary.

It is fun to ride on a plane. Bring your camera to take picures out the window. It is the safest way to travel. Bring some gum for your ears when you get high up. Don't worry about it you will enjoy it.

It depends. Some people find it scary, others don't. Personally I don't. If you do, then the thing to keep in mind is that, statistically, it's a lot safer than driving around in a car.

The 1st and only time I rode on a plane, I was scared to death. But once I got on it, it really wasn't that bad. Don't worry, you'll be fine.

It can be bumpy sometimes and a little like a roller coaster, but it beats driving a long distance any day.
