Most of the old wivestales that you hear are false. Nothing you eat will make the baby come quicker, neither will having sex or taking long walks. However, there are two things (that I know of) that should definitely help.

Nipple stimulation-nipple stimulation causes the body to release the hormone oxytocin. Oxytocin causes uterine contractions. Uterine contractions cause birth!

The second is a birthing ball. It's like a big yoga ball that they use in hospitals to help progress labor. If you have a yoga ball, have her sit on it and move her hips around in circles.

It's a full moon Saturday night, that is when I am hoping I go into labor. I was told by others in this order SOME TIMES WORKS
1. Sex
2. Go for a medium Paced Walk
3. Hot to warm bath ( fill up only to cover the private area)
Good luck and Congrats, oh and your miss's just rub her and love her she is going through a BIG change.

Oh this cracks me up, my husband was the same.

Go and have a romatic walk together, this helps for dilation, have sex it can cause the water to break and speed up contractions.

Go out for spicy food.

I dont think there are any PROVEN scientific methods...but walking helped me. And...if you would like to minimize the moaning...try comforting her..a nice warm bath...massage..give her lots of attention..it will keep her mind off things.

if you can't handle the moaning of your "missus" how are you going to handle the screaming of a baby?

you would moan too if it were you. that baby knows when it wants to be born, just you leave it be, and be
nicer to your wife. believe me! she is not comfortable
and you do NOT want to be where she is not. remember
this is your baby too and right now your wife is doing all
the work. you can at least be supportive and understanding.

She's uncomfortable so try to be a little more sympathetic. She can do squats to help her go into labor.
