A green concealer stick (it really is green, it looks like lipstick for Princess Fiona) over the red dots or spots, and then Bare Minerals makeup.
Noxema at nightime to remove it, followed by a swiping of witch hazel and a light moisturizer.

Don't use foundation, it cloggs up the skin and breaks up after a few hours making it looked caked on. I have got blotchey skin and need to cover up before I do anything! I use Boujois D'un Coup De Pinceau see http://www.bourjois.co.uk/face/concealer
It use it like on all the bits I need to cover and find it doesn't look overdone and doesn't break up later in the day as it isn't too heavy. I use a powder lightly over my face to keep my shine at bay!

mac is a good place to get stuff like this because of it's stong pigment.
