A silver elephant comes to face me, looking it see's a light gold fish with mouth open wide, I look to the elephant and see one eye closed , out of it a river of tears begin to flow.my pen begins to write what was said by the fish that caused the beast to cry.

It means you like to write in metaphors and symbolisms.
The vision comes to a particular person and that person alone.
Not knowing the person, symbols vary and metaphors change.
The elephant could be India, or joy, or any number of things.
The gold fish could be Japan, or good fortune, or any number of thing.
The person could have come back from the midway.
You can't say.
You say that the person in ithe vision is you. Who are you? Where do you come from? Where are you going? Why should this matter to you?
If I were to guess at a meaning I would say "When true joy comes you way do not let good fortune cloud your vision and turn what could be a joyous moment into one filled with sorrow." That is just a guess but it sounds about right.

Your writing what hurts you or what you hurt? What kind of vision is this? is it from a dream? It could mean to observe bad actions with the karma effects it has. The wide open mouth could signify that words are spoken harshly, loud in public, and/or without thinking first. Like someone with a "big mouth" so to speak. The closed eye with the river of tears to follow could signify it has been hurt badly emotionally and inside. Also it could be keeping it to itself.

silver and gold-moon and sun, yin and yang. the feminine is crying for you to pay attention to what your male side is suggesting? are you "watery" and not sufficiently assertive about your "rights"? interestingly, the elephant--ganesh? could imply the goddess/ kundalini "connection"--shakti trying to "connect" with shiva. when i read the question i got a "chill"--a very significant dream? perhaps a call for empowerment and "the alchemical marriage"? ;-)
