come to think of it Why is it called x and o's for short but noughts and crosses in long.

its a great came keeps kids and adults entertained for hours years ago before board games where invented people had to improvise and play different games and this was one of the popular ones and it is still going these days so no i don't think it is pointless maybe it is to people who don't know how to play it. a nought means zero, nothing, and cross is for the x simple as that if you know what your on about.
