It is becoming more accepted for women to marry younger men. In the early days men were the income earners, so it worked out much better for older, more established men to have younger wives in their prime child bearing age. Now that the income earning lines are crossing, women have more independence and can marry whomever they please.

I have a younger brother at the age of 52, and he married a lady that is 67, and a brother that is 59 and he married a lady at the age of 64.
I guess it depends on the person or persons that are getting married.
I do not know why older men want young women, because most of them will not be able to keep up as they get older, then the lady starts looking for a younger male.

It is ACCEPTED, it's just not common. As for the reason, it is simple biology and sociology. Men and women seek different things from a mate.
Generally, younger women can often fulfill the needs of an older man and still herself be satisfied in the relationship. That's not nearly as commonly true when it comes to women who are much older than their propsective spouses. A younger man's needs cannot often be met when paired with a much older woman. Her needs will not be met as well by a much younger man.
Men and women are created to be different. It's just the way it is.

Men marry younger women because of their looks which can be very stimulating. Any guy who marries an older woman must have some loose screws.

Oh, it's accepted all right. It's just that it is very unlikely. See, for evolutionary reasons, men tend to go for nice-looking women, and women tend to go for rich, successful men. The result is that a young man marrying an old woman is very uncommon.

Because men take so much longer to mature than women do (studies proves this). So it is like the woman is robbing the cradle.
