Ever since my summer holidays I've had truble falling asleep. I've been trying to get up early in the morning and not to nap. I'm usually very tired during the day but I won't fall asleep. I will not take any sleeping pills, what should I try instead?

Try drinking celery juice. I have tried it myself and I mix it with other vegetable and fruit juices and it puts me to a better sleep. Celery has a calming effect on our muscles and naturopathic doctors even prescribe this to people suffering from insomnia. This is a healthy way of relaxing yourself and giving your body quality sleep without worrying about side effects.

You could try an herbal remedy. Valerian root is very good for helping you fall asleep. If you don't like herbal remedies either than just try relaxing before bedtime with a nice aromatherapy bath. It just sounds like you are overly stimulated during the day and your body is having trouble winding down.

As A lil girl Gramma, gave us Mogan David Wine just a ounce
when we got very sick. I use it when I can't sleep or have high pain levels. I do not drink normally so a ounce is plenty. In the fifties it was common to give wine for whooping cough to rest & rebuild strength
or so said my ex-husband from Oklahoma.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/buNCU

Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.

Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.

Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.

I have question concerning your question:

1. How much physical activity do you get (excercise or job) You may be working out too little ot too much.

2. How old are you? If you are a teen, this may be normal as teens experience this sleepiness phenomenon.

3. if none of these apply, you may want to see your doctor and see if he/she wants to check your thyroid. Low thyroid levels will cause you to have up's and downs in energy.

Cut down or cut out caffeine or any other stimulant. Also, Valerian is an herb that is used for trouble sleeping, as is Melatonin. You can pick these up at any WalMart or equivalent store and they are not addictive.
