The book of Genesis was edited by Moses around 750 B.C. It appears that there were several wrights and Moses edited them. There are five breaks three are below, you can see that there are set breaks by Generation and writers.

Gen 5v1This is the book of the generations of Adam.

Gen10v1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.

Gen 36v1Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

In the 6th century. It was actually not written until the jews were led by moses out of the exile. I know i am studying it in school.
