Good question. In my opinion, most women go overboard with their eye makeup and it makes them look too fake or slutty. Go with neutral tones to avoid the overly done look. I like to buy a set of eye shadow colors that come together in one container so that I know they will blend nicely together (try Maybelline, they usually have nice combos).
1. you can start by applying an eye cream. This will give you a good foundation to work with and help the eyeshadow to go one smooth. Make sure you let it fully dry before continuing.
2. Take the darkest color and brush it into the crease of your eye. Avoid bringing it all the way to the inner corner of your eye. Put the dark color on a little heavier on the outside of your eye than the inside.
3. Take the medium shade and brush it over the lid of your eye. Blend it upward toward the crease and outward.
4. Take the lighter color and brush it on above the crease and under your eyebrow. If you like you can add this color to the very inner corner of your eye to give you a bright-eyed, wide-awake look.
5. Blend, blend, blend. The more you blend the more natural your eyemakeup will look. The idea is that you want people to see your beauty and not your makeup.

If you have dark skin, you can get away with a lot more shades than a lighter skin person can. Start with neutral browns, tan and cream and experiment a little. Add in some other colors and see what looks good with you and your clothes. You can also try eyeliner, but don't go to dark or heavy with it. Keep a nice, subtle look and you'll look wonderful!

pick a complimentary color to your skin tone. Dont try anything to bright or dark. Directions are on the back of the package if you buy cover girl or something like that. Those directions are fool proof.

You an also go to a department store.. Ask for a make up consultation appointment tell them that you want to know how to put on make up. I like Clinique and Bobby Brown the best because they do a very natural pretty look very well. Bobby Brown offers many different skin tones so you should get a match very well. If you do that you should buy something.. Buy like a lip stick or a powder. You dont have to tip.. Just enjoy. Get some girls to do it together. Tell them you want something natural and light to match your style and age.

i do not imagine that's impolite to possibly, get one merchandise out at a time and practice with a small reflect yet, that's impolite to drain each and every thing out of her handbag and take in a table and an complete different complete seat and then in simple terms leave each and every thing out for some thing of the vacation. She probable develop into late yet, also did not favor all and various sitting through her too and so what extra perfect excuse even as she pretends she's no longer performed and would not positioned it away.

Use a light color, such as light brown, since you don't have much practice. That way it won't be too dark. Then using an applicator (most eyeshadows come with one) apply it to your eyelids. If you accidentally put too much on, you can dust a blush brush over your lids to remove some.

well it would be extrememly difficult to explain all that here, but you can go to a local dillards and get them to put make up on you and they show you how to apply it all, etc. you can all for an appt and you will have to pick which brand like clinique, estee lauder (was my fave). Now you may HAVE to make a purchase but its only like 20 bucks...or you can always call on an Avon rep to come by. Good Luck!!

Since you've never worn make-up before, I would start with soft colors, and a little mascara. I would stay away from eye liner for now. Good Luck.
