Depends what stage the house is in, if its already built drill holes next to the wall and run the wires under the house. If its a condo or an apartment complex DON'T do this.

Burglar alarms now are pretty much "plug and play" and don't really require that many wires anymore

Assuming you're already living in the home; hide them behind furniture as much as possible (i.e. the entertainment center, speakers, couch...). Also, if u r using surround sound spkrs, run them along the top where the ceiling & wall meet so they're not as noticeable. U could also run some wires along the floor where the wall meets.

You can do one of two things that I know about. Purchase some crown molding, it can be used at the top or bottom of the walls, or used as a chair rail.

You can also purchase plastic or metal hollow channels at your local hardware stores, it is made just for this purpose.

Use panduit...this is flat-molded conduit that's designed to be seen and yet hide your wiring. Most major hardware stores sell a variety of components and colors
