Masochist is the proper term, derived from Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, who wrote novel dealing with themes of pain enjoyment.

One thing to note is that most masochists do not like all forms of pain. Some forms can actually be pleasurable as it stimulates the brain to release endorphins, which can generate a natural high. However, I suspect that very few people actually enjoy having a dentist apply their tools on them. :-)

Masochist IS the correct answer to your question. Masochism can be considered a fetish, just as sadism or sado-masochism.
Brutalization of the human body does release hormones that create the 'fight or flight' condition, and in some cases, the body interprets these to be of a sexual nature, perhaps a case of mis-wiring of the synapses of the brain.

A masochist is one who likes pain;versus a sadist who likes to inflict pain.
