I had the same problem and I did what the individual said in #1 above.. right click on the monitor.. properties.. then settings.. I had to set mine at 1280 X 780 .. so try both of those.. It should work after that.

A monitor that stopped working properly after installing Office??? Thats nonsense. It does seem like your monitor, but not due to Office.

Simple enough to test. Just hook your monitor to neighbor, friend's computer and see if it works okay on their computer.
Hook neighbor, friend's monitor to YOUR computer.
*IF* you still get a blurry screen on another monitor, you may have a bad video card and\or bad connection. Check cables at BOTH ends. If that diesn't help, open computer, remove video card, clean the contacts, reinsert and start computer to see if that helps.

Your problem is probably becuase you dont have cleartype enabled or not tuned.
Follow the instructions on this website. It is from microsoft and provide step by step instructions on how to enable cleartype and finetune it to your needs

If you cant do it directly from the website than go here, download the program and follow the steps it is the same things except not web based.

if you have a laptop or an lcd glat panel it is almost definently the fault of the resolution. try some of the ideas people gave you they will most likely work.
