Don't be so hard on your self. Everyone fails a test every now and then.

If your grades disappoint you then talk to the teachers about some extra credit. This could give those grades a boost. Try studying a little longer for the next test.

I know school can be overwhelming they teach you kids so much more now days.

School is very important if you want to succeed in life.

But also try to remember that you are young and have plenty of time to grow up. Don't forget to have some fun once in a while.

If you study to much and don't find some time to release that pressure you will have a melt down.

By all means school is the most important. Make sure all of your school work is done first.

But when you have finished it for the night relax and do something that makes you feel good and happy.

Reward yourself for all your hard work!!!!!!!

Then I think that you will do better.

Enjoy being young. Because once you become an adult life takes a different turn. And learning how to un-wind now will help you when you become older.

Any way don't be so hard on your self you will do better next time. Cheer up!!

Just remember this your aren't the first person to ever fail a test and you sure won't be the last!!!

I know how you feel but it doesn't help to beat yourself up over it. Have you ever heard of the saying that success is failure turned inside out? Focus on what's going RIGHT with your life and don't dwell on the negative. In other words, count your blessings.

And please know that this happens to everyone. I used to be like that until I realized that grades don't speak to my ability or intellectual capability. Grades are just that grades. Speak to you teacher(s) to find out what happen and ask them for help. That always works because teachers love to see students try. I would also say assess your study habits. Are there areas that could use improvement? Ask your teachers for help in that area as well.

The beautiful thing about life is that it goes on. I am sure that you are an intelligent and gifted young woman who can do anything she sets her mind to. Believe that and you're well on your way!

Plan your studies wisely, with a friend in one of those classes, or get some time with the instructor to help direct your studies. Don't give up on yourself.
One of the tricks I learned in a physiology class was memory tracks. You need to see and write everything down at least 3 times for it to be rehearsed in your brain as a permanent memory. Taking notes in class is once. With book open after class, go over the notes and fill in missing info from the book. That's two. Go back and highlight the crucial material to study from, as to what the teacher expects on the test. That's three. When it comes time to review, you already have everything you need for a study session in your notes, and even highlighted for clarity.

It sounds like you have been distracted by something or someone to make you fail. If your grades have dropped drastically. I would say take some time out, and think of what your priorities are. If you had better grades before than you can do it again.

Awwww babes!!!! Don't let it get you down...it happens to the best of us. I know for sure that I failed my Philosophy 140 last week. I can be depressed for a while, but then I gotta realize that there are more tests to come. The school year just started (not sure if your in high school or college, etc). If you know you can do better than try your best to let it show. Don't let no one down you (including you)......It will get better

If you care that much:

Looks at how you prepared. Did you prepare properly? Look at what you thibn you lacked and then next time, strengthen that area more. In other words, reflect on your weaknesses and then focus on them for next time and try to improve in those areas.

If you did try your best, then that's all anyone can do, if they in fact tried!

Sometimes the tests aren't all that fair. Sometimes there are questions you weren't expecting. Maybe you were distracted by things in your life. Just don't take it to heart TOO much.

You'll do better if you try.......just keep trying. :)

Can you discuss re-taking the tests? You say you know you can do better and you don't know what happened, so perhaps if you discussed this with a councellor you could arrange to take the test again or do extra assigments to bring your grade back up...

Look at each hurdle as a way of getting you in shape to deal with life. You just met a problem...now how you look at the problem is the issue. Be depressed or find a way to overcomethe hurdle you have just seen!! It will get better! Just get up and go again!

here is a dirty joke to cheer you up. " a pig fell in the mud" and to this date 13 years out of Purdue University (had to boast about my school) no one has ever asked to see my transcript. So grades really dont matter much. Graduation does.
