I have a Nissan Sentra 94, doesn't start up.
My friend has a mitsubishi miracle 2000.
Can I use my friend's Mitsubishi to two my car to the bodyshop?
The shop is about 1 mile away.

I live in IL.
I am kind of broke.
If I pay for the tow, then I might not have the money to fix the car, or the other way around.
What should I do?

Bad idea. Bad idea. If its only a mile, and you could keep off major streets and stuff, maybe, but be super careful.

I am going to assume that if you friend has a Mitsubishi Miracle that you are not in the United States since that is not the name of a vehicle sold here. Therefore, as far as laws go I have no idea about your current situation.
As far whether the Mitsubishi will tow your sentra:
Maybe, but it will almost definitely damage one of your cars. I am assuming a Miracle is a car and does not have tow hooks or a towing setup on the back of it. Your sentra might have front tow hooks but they are offset to the left or right and would make towing in a straight line difficult. If your car is completely dead then you probably won't have power steering or power brakes to turn or stop the car while it is being towed either. If your steering column locks then you are in even more trouble. If you go for it anyways I wouldn't exceed 5 MPH and would drive in the breakdown lane.
I would pay the $50 to have it towed, or, you could just push the thing for a mile. Personally, I would probably push it myself as long as it wasn't along main roads.

The bad thing about towing is not so much is it illegal, safe, etc, most newer cars don't have anything to tie on a tow rope. Sure, you could tie it here or there, but it would probably do more damage then you already have. If you insist on doing it your self, get a friend that has a trailer hitch and rent one of those car dollies you put the front wheels on to tow it.

i'm uncertain of the line regulations over there (i'm in WA) yet i think of that one automobile towing yet another is criminal in easy terms for short distances i.e. interior 10km of your holiday spot. different than that i think of that a tow tuck may be required. in case you call your states branch for Planing and Infrastructure they might desire to be waiting to assist you comprehend what you would be able to desire to correctly known. desire this permits.
