I think 9 innings is perfect.Those innings seem to zip by in a good game. As much as I like the game, I think double headers are too much.

But if shortenthe game there will be less time to drink beer at the ball park. They woul dhave to do "last call" in the 3rd or 4th inning. No fun!

I don't know.
i mean in like the pee-wee type of leauges they play like 5-6 innings. then in what we call where i live "pony" they play 7.
i guess its because they are much older and can take playing such longer games.
