that makes tears in my eyes swell up reading your question.
You are one special person in this world to care about others, you are so sweet. I am a type 1 diabetic (have been for 10 years) and it is tough, some people do not know how tough it is.

You apparently just found out recently! It's hard to except any diagnosis that has no cure.
Having Diabetes is not the end of the world. Follow a diabetic diet plan and the doctors advice. And you can learn to manage it.
I am borderline. Diagnosed 10 yrs ago and still not on meds. My father was a brittle, 2 injections a day. But he refused to give up the beer and donuts early on.

You dont have to be so tough. It's OK to cry about it if you want to. It sounds like you have been trying so hard not to let it bother you that it bothers you. I have diabetes also, (new diagnosis) and I cried a lot too. Taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do, so educate yourself and do what you are supposed to do, and talk about it if if bothers you. Tough doesnt mean not crying, it means being worried/afraid/scared and going on in spite of it. Good luck with it!!!

A case of well-deserved self-concern. The opportunities for carefree health and longevity that come naturally to others, you will have to work for.
It might seem overwhelming at times, but the struggle is worth the cost. Yeah, you don't have the advantage of perfect health that others may enjoy, but you can overcome it.
Managing diabetes can take some work - hope you have a good support group, friends, teammates, etc.
Hang in there - you can do this. Best luck.

Sometimes being human is the toughest thing of all.
I have an autoimmune disease and sometimes it's so difficult just to tell someone. These diseases you and I have, they're bigger than we are, they're powerful and very scary. At times we're confronted with our own mortality. And that's bigger than we are too. I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to leave this life just yet.
Just remember that you are not alone.

Well, maybe you aren't just SOOO tough as you believe... This affects you and feelings have to be expressed some way or the other. Don't worry so much about it. Being extra sensitive about certain subjects is normal. Each person has her own...

I think even though you're a tough person you can still be teary when you tell someone something like that. I don't think there's a problem with that.

That's unusual. I have Type II diabetes-I just accept it. It's hereditary.
