Professional Cheerleading Advice?

I have tryout out for the Dallas Cowboys twice and still haven't made it, does anyone have any advice on making pro cheerleading teams ?

My List of Dance/Cheer Experience:
-5 years of cheerleading
-4 years Jazz Dance
-5 years ballet
-2 years Pointe
-3 years Tap Dance
-3 years Gymnastics

The DCC team is one of the finest in the nation. You didn't indicate how far you had gone in your tryouts...did you make it past the first cut, or even to camp?

If yes, then chances are that you just need some polish.

Don't forget the DCC uniforms are very unforgiving. They don't want to see any jiggles at all! Most girls need to lose from 3-5% of their body weight (even if you think that you look good).

Stay on track with a healthy diet and nail those routines.

Oh, Honey, been there, done that.

Yes, I am sure you have amazing dancing ability, and that is GREAT.
But they also look for other things.

Check out your personality. Do you come off too shy? Too afraid? Too nervous? Too full of herself?

Look at your apparel, makeup, and facial expressions. Don't be conservative, but not too skimpy. No makeup is needed, often they ask to tone it down, they want to see the real you.

The uniforms...I agree...they are VERY unforgiving. Almost everyone has to loose weight, even if it is just a few pounds. You have to be extremely toned to look good in them. Even the littlest flab can get ya kicked out. They are one of the most respected and undoubtedly the toughest squad in the nation. They have to have a great appearance.
Maybe they just don't believe you are trying hard enough, or they think you are trying TOO hard, and it comes across fake, trust me.

Maybe it has more to do with your make-up/hair. How are your abs? are they defined. I'm not a pro or anything, just trying to help you out. Maybe you're not as vivacious as the others trying out. If you know one of the girls that made it, ask her to give you some pointers and take the advice to make you better.

Wow, I'm surprised that you didn't make it. Well, how's your personality? Someone can be perfect on all the techical things, but if their personality is not likeable/approachable it can definitely ruin your chances of advancing.

Prob loose weight, tone up, smile alot!, Were your hair down, be sexy and loud!
