I don't beleive there are any bad words. Just bad intent. Words are there to be used. It's HOW we use them that can cause problems.
As a parent, I don't encourage my children to use bad words but, under certain circumstances, I won't punish them either. For example, if one of them were to let loose with an "oh, sh*t" when they make a mistake, I don't really care (as long as they're not SCREAMING it in public). But, if they were to tell someone to "Eat sh*t", they'd be in trouble.

I would guess that the words were made before they were decided to be bad. A lot of word start out as not bad, and then sort of transform. It's society that changes the meaning of a word. For example, the word "c*nt" did not use to be a "bad word" It was actually a very possitive word. Of course, we aren't allowed to have positive words about female genetalia, so society transformed it into an obscene and negative word. Also, the term Morman used to be considered a derrogatory term, but it was adapted into something possitive. It's like how many feminists are trying to make "b*tch" a possitive word.

because as words pass through times, society changes and so does the definition change. a bad word now might have been acceptable a few decades or centuries ago.
For example. F. U. C. K. originally means Fornication Under Concent of King, which was an acceptable behavior for kings in the medieval ages where the word came from.

I always wanted to know the same thing! Haha
I'm not afraid to use them though. Just because I think it's funny to see people get so offended over a little word you use just because it's supposed to be a "bad" word we're taught to never use.

Words like the "f" word or the "s" word were actually not considered bad or harmful when they were originally coined. As the years went by they these words gained profanity status and their reputations went downhill.

you can say them, but you can't still be considered polite, or in good taste.
you are capable of passing gas too right?
and thats a natural function
would someone tolerate it, if you went around all the time letting them go?
and what about spitting?
thats something you CAN do, but who would put up with it if you spit on the floor at school, at your job, or even at someones house.
The list goes on for things you can do, but are just not right

the bad words arose from hurtful things happening
once heard they were part of our vocabulary
the problem is that people don't know when to keep their mouth shut; basically immaturity and a lack of tact, class

You can't say them when you're a child. As an adult, feel free to use them when you'd like. Of course pick the right time and place to use them.
