im headed to Greece this Saturday and i'm not big on trying new foods, however my boyfriend says you gotta try something atleast once before you decide whether you like it or not. so... what would you recommend me to eat first? (something easy on the stomatch please!)

,Lucky you love Greece and the food its lovely, all the kebabs are lovely not spicy but beautifully cooked - they can show us a thing or two about Barby's. Try lamb keftico its a sort of lamb stew done in a clay pot with cheese sounds odd, tastes amazing - not spicy! If your headed for kefelonia the meat pie is the best ever. Of course there is the Greek salads as well. You will find the stuffed vine leaves are really unusual (in a nice way) but I really like the stuffed peppers and tomatoes out there (with rice and mincemeat) They really want to please you in restaurants out there so be adventurous the food is delicious and not hot or spicy just great! Have a wonderful time and enjoy all that this wonderful place has to offer P.S the people are also lovely

Mousaka is a local speciality. Fantastic comfort food. Can be a little oily, but it's olive oil so it's good for you.
They do good things with fish too.
If you want to drink something unusual - Retsina and ouzo would be memorable!!

In many restaurants the owner or chef will bring you into the kitchen and show you what you can eat. It is all very edible and very cheap.
